About the Role

Are you ready to shape innovative service solutions in a dynamic environment? We're seeking a talented Service Design Architect to join our team, driving impactful change and designing seamless customer experiences.

We are hiring a UK Service Design Architect to join an exciting, delivery-focused team in Digital and IT at Rolls-Royce. You will be responsible for defining the Service Strategy and Design of all new services and applications across the UK, including the UK defence sector.

As the UK Service Design Architect, you will work as part of a small team to identify Supply Chain partners and service models for new UK services. This role is ideal for someone with strong delivery focus, experience in designing and contracting service delivery arrangements with blue-chip providers, and integrating them into production alongside Solution and Enterprise architects and Project Teams.

The role requires a UK national with significant experience in Service (not solution) design and ITIL disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the service design across UK IT supply chains, ensuring designs meet business needs.
• Ensure new contracted services are designed for availability and comply with Secure by Design principles. Support the development of Solution and Technical Architectures for standards like NIST.
• Create Service Design documentation and implement/test service processes for new UK applications and services, including Defence and Enterprise services.
• Provide guidance throughout project lifecycles based on best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable IT service architecture experience within enterprise organizations.
• Hands-on experience with service towers, including compute, networking, storage, database, and cloud services.
• Knowledge of best practices for building secure and reliable service platforms (on-premise, cloud, PaaS, SaaS).
• Extensive Service Design experience.
• ITIL or similar Service Management qualification (desirable).
• SC clearance (desirable).
