Job summary

Johnsons Workwear is seeking a Service Delivery Driver to manage daily delivery routes, deliver and collect stock at customer sites, and ensure compliance with transport documentation.

You will build strong relationships with customers, support route planning, and cover for absent drivers when required. The role includes on-site loading/unloading and maintaining stock levels, with a focus on reliability and service quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage daily delivery routes and timely deliveries.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to paperwork and compliance with transport documentation.
• Ability to work as part of a field team and liaise with customers.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles and place stock in designated areas at customer sites.
• Ensure vehicles are stocked with sundry items and replacement stock.
• Deliver and collect items per route documentation and handle on-site lockers.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Build positive relationships with customers and act as liaison between customers and the business.
• Support Transport Manager by covering routes for absent drivers when required.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Service Delivery Driver to deliver and collect company stock between customer sites and the plant. This role is key to ensuring compliance with transport legislation while delivering a reliable, high-quality service to our customers.

The role

As a Service Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for managing daily delivery routes, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service at every interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading vehicles and placing stock into designated areas at customer sites
• Ensuring vehicles are stocked with sufficient sundry items, such as repair labels and bags
• Collecting and delivering items in line with route documentation, including loading and emptying on-premises lockers and exchanging dust control mats
• Accurately completing all required paperwork and delivery documentation
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with customers and acting as a key liaison between customers and the business
• Supporting the Transport Manager by covering routes for absent drivers when required
• Undertaking ad-hoc duties to support the wider transport and service delivery team
