Job summary

Circet UK in Hawick is seeking a Service Delivery Technician to join our field team. You will perform Fibre installations and repairs, survey sites, test connections, and troubleshoot to high quality standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Expect outdoor, physically demanding work, occasional travel, and a 40-hour week with some Saturdays. A full UK manual driving licence and right to work in the UK are required; telecoms experience is helpful and training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Physically capable of demanding work, including climbing (up to 15m) and heavy lifting.
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence.
  • Basic DBS check.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Telecoms experience preferred; full training provided for the right candidate.
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Organise your daily and weekly work schedule to ensure timely fibre installations and repairs.
  • Work outdoors in a physically demanding role and potentially adverse weather conditions.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service with residents, clients and third-party stakeholders.
  • Perform full Fibre installations, including surveying, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess feasibility and compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback to improve performance.
  • Meet Circet's safety standards and proactively address risks.
  • Resolve client and customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Responsibilities of Service Delivery:
  • Organise your daily and weekly work schedule to ensure timely and efficient Fibre installations and repairs, aligning with client expectations and business goals
  • Work outdoors in a very physically demanding role and potentially adverse weather conditions to complete multiple installations per day
  • Maintain high standards of customer service by ensuring all interactions with residents, clients, and third-party stakeholders are professional and solution focused
  • Expertly perform full Fibre installations, including surveying, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring adherence to quality and industry standards
  • Conduct site inspections to assess installation feasibility, evaluate infrastructure conditions, and provide risk assessments, ensuring full compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Participate in team meetings, providing feedback and collaborating with colleagues and managers to improve performance and enhance customer experience
  • Consistently meet Circet's safety standards, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks in the field
  • Resolve client and customer complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining strong relationships and high satisfaction levels
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
  • Physically capable of demanding work, including climbing (up to 15m), underground tasks, and heavy lifting in all weather
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence
  • Basic DBS check
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills across all technical levels
  • Telecoms experience preferred; full training provided for the right candidate
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Full right to work in the UK
Additional Information
  • The normal hours of work are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with the expectation for you to work one Saturday in every four. The nature of your work may involve considerable travel time outside of office hours with no additional renumeration.
