Service Delivery Security Manager
Team
The Service Delivery Security Manager role is in the KPMG UK Information Security function and reports directly to the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead. This role is critical in the provision and delivery of secure, innovative, technology-enabled services and solutions for KPMG and our clients. The role is vital to KPMG’s ability to demonstrate that we are delivering ‘secure by design’ services and solutions such that our business stakeholders, our clients and our regulators trust KPMG.
Role
The primary purpose of the role is to enable harmonious delivery of Security Services by ensuring strong collaboration with external Service Providers and the entire range of KPMG business functions. There are three main areas of focus:
- Manage the security services relationship to protect the delivery of end-to-end services involving all KPMG UK Technology services or third-party suppliers.
- Provide governance for infrastructure security services.
- Provide an overview of all services provided by KPMG UK Technology services or third-party suppliers, troubleshoot issues, and escalate as appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Service Owners to understand their roadmap and operational requirements.
- Maintain and lead the governance processes for these services.
- Ensure standards, guidelines, and contractual commitments are met.
- Review and govern Service Provider Quality, Improvement Plans, Issues, and Risks, engaging the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead as needed.
- Raise issues, build consensus, and enable timely resolution.
- Govern Service Provider Knowledge Management, Reporting, Documentation, and engagement practices for operational excellence.
- Review capacity plans to meet demand and align with roadmaps.
- Consolidate and report on Security services delivery and initiatives.
- Coordinate changes to minimize disruption to Information Security services.
- Communicate major changes or enhancements in Information Security.
- Act as a point of contact for queries or issues related to Security.
- Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Service Owners on remediations and expectations.
- Implement operational security activities, processes, and standards with the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead.
- Build stakeholder relationships, negotiate service levels, and define project scope.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with security policies and standards, escalating issues when necessary.
- Propose policy and procedure improvements based on feedback to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Support incident and problem management teams and participate in security governance.
- Manage and develop compliance in relevant security domains using automation, security by design, and customer-focused approaches, and develop service strategies and roadmaps.
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to create insightful dashboards (preferably via PowerBI) by unifying reports from various sources.
- Experience in infrastructure or technology management leadership roles.
- Understanding of change management processes (ITIL).
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills across all levels.
- Experience managing delivery teams and IT services.
- Relationship management with stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
