Service Delivery Security Manager

Team

The Service Delivery Security Manager role is part of the KPMG UK Information Security team, reporting directly to the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead. This role is essential for delivering secure, innovative, and technology-enabled services for KPMG and our clients, ensuring trust through 'secure by design' services.

Role

The main purpose is to facilitate harmonious delivery of Security Services by collaborating with external Service Providers and internal business functions. Focus areas include:

  1. Managing security service relationships to protect end-to-end services involving KPMG UK Technology and third-party providers.
  2. Providing governance for infrastructure security services.
  3. Overseeing all services provided by KPMG UK Technology and third-party suppliers, troubleshooting issues, and escalating when necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Service Owners to understand their service roadmaps and operational needs.
  • Maintaining and leading governance processes for these services.
  • Ensuring adherence to standards, guidelines, and contractual commitments.
  • Reviewing and governing Service Provider quality, improvement plans, issues, and operational risks, with support from the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead.
  • Facilitating issue resolution through consensus-building and escalation.
  • Managing Service Provider knowledge transfer, reporting, documentation, and engagement practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Reviewing capacity plans to meet demand aligned with service roadmaps.
  • Consolidating and reporting on security service delivery and initiatives.
  • Coordinating changes across Technology and Service Providers to minimize security service disruptions.
  • Communicating major changes or enhancements in Information Security to relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Serving as the main contact for queries and issues related to the Security Function.
  • Working with Service Delivery Managers and Service Owners to clarify expectations and remediation actions.
  • Implementing operational security activities, processes, and standards in collaboration with the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead.
  • Building stakeholder relationships, negotiating service levels, and defining project scopes.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards, escalating issues as needed.
  • Proposing policy and procedure improvements based on feedback to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Supporting incident and problem management teams and participating in security governance processes.
  • Managing and developing compliance in relevant security domains using automation, security by design, and customer-focused approaches, and developing service strategies and roadmaps.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Creating and maintaining dashboards (preferably via PowerBI) by consolidating reports and metrics from various sources.
  • Extensive experience in infrastructure or technology management leadership roles.
  • Understanding of change management processes (ITIL).
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing delivery teams and Managed IT services.
  • Experience managing relationships with stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Ability to deliver transformation plans supporting operational goals.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to set challenging objectives aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining relevant certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure management tools, security tools, and cloud applications.
  • Effective communication skills tailored to various audiences within the organization.
