Service Delivery Security Manager

Team

The Service Delivery Security Manager role is within the UK Information Security team at KPMG, reporting directly to the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead. This role is essential for delivering secure, innovative, and technology-enabled services and solutions that demonstrate 'secure by design' principles, fostering trust among stakeholders, clients, and regulators.

Role

The main purpose is to ensure smooth delivery of Security Services through effective collaboration with external Service Providers and internal business functions. Focus areas include:

  • Managing security service relationships to protect service delivery involving all KPMG UK Technology services and third-party suppliers.
  • Providing governance for infrastructure security services.
  • Overseeing the complete set of services provided and troubleshooting issues escalated appropriately.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Service Owners to understand their roadmaps and operational needs.
  • Leading governance processes for these services.
  • Ensuring adherence to standards and contractual commitments.
  • Reviewing and governing service provider quality, improvement plans, issues, and operational risks.
  • Facilitating issue resolution and escalation.
  • Managing knowledge transfer, reporting, documentation, and engagement practices for operational excellence.
  • Reviewing capacity plans to meet demand and align with roadmaps.
  • Consolidating and reporting on security service delivery and initiatives.
  • Coordinating changes to minimize disruption.
  • Communicating major changes or enhancements.
  • Serving as a point of contact for queries or issues.
  • Working with Service Delivery Managers and Service Owners to clarify expectations.
  • Implementing operational security activities and standards with the Security Production Assurance & Compliance Lead.
  • Building stakeholder relationships, negotiating service levels, and defining project scopes.
  • Monitoring compliance with security policies and standards, escalating issues as needed.
  • Proposing policy and procedure improvements based on feedback.
  • Supporting incident and problem management in prioritizing security issues.
  • Managing and developing compliance in relevant security domains using automation and security by design principles, and developing service strategies and roadmaps.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Creating insightful dashboards (preferably via PowerBI) by integrating reports from various sources.
  • Proven experience in a similar infrastructure or technology management leadership role.
  • Understanding of change management processes (ITIL).
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills across all levels.
  • Experience managing delivery teams and managed IT services.
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Ability to deliver transformation plans supporting operational goals.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Setting challenging objectives aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Maintaining professional accreditation through CPD.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure management tools such as Endpoint Protection, ITSM platforms, and security tools.
  • Experience managing applications and infrastructure in cloud environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, customer-focused environments delivering high-quality security services.
