As Data Service Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT Services across the full stack for Data Platforms and Services. You will provide clear, communicated ownership for all business-facing services within the Data portfolio. Your accountability will span both business and senior IT stakeholder management, covering operational delivery, availability, stability, and readiness.

Role overview:

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining positive and proactive relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders
  • Establishing effective communication between stakeholders
  • Providing accurate and regular reports to management on the performance of service delivery
  • Being the advocate for the business and IT operations teams
  • Identifying business needs and overseeing service delivery within the service tower
  • Prioritizing workload and resolving conflicts
  • Turning data into information and knowledge and communicating this to senior leadership
  • Understanding contractual and commercial terms of services delivered into their tower

You will maintain performance and availability for applications and systems supporting an enterprise of approximately 30,000 colleagues and generating approximately £5 billion in revenue.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Background in Data and Business Intelligence
  • Specific knowledge and experience in Azure Data technologies
  • A background in retail is desirable
  • Specific service tower domain knowledge, experience, and expertise
  • IT support and operations experience
  • Experience working in a hybrid team
  • Experience working with third-party support teams and strategic partners
  • Experience working in an ITIL-based environment
