Our trusted partner, a highly reputable cloud solutions provider, is hiring a 2nd/3rd line Service Delivery Engineer who is willing to work a varied shift pattern, Monday to Thursday, which will involve some night shifts. The selected candidate must have a background in 2nd/3rd line support with exposure to Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and Networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP). The position is based in Sittingbourne, paying up to £45,000 per annum.

The shift patterns are Monday to Thursday between 8 am to 8 pm, rotating between days and nights, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.

You will need to be a good communicator, technically proficient, and able to provide strategic guidance to clients regarding technology and IT infrastructures. You will enable major business processes to change through enhancements to clients' IT. You may also be called upon to provide guidance and technical expertise during design, selection, and implementation phases, as well as technology selection.

Responsibilities:

• Engaging with clients to determine their technology requirements
• Working with clients to deliver projects within scope, quality, cost, and timescale for successful outcomes
• Clarifying client system specifications, understanding working practices, and the nature of the customers’ business
• Working at customer sites, liaising with staff at all levels — good stakeholder management is essential
• Developing and implementing new technologies
• Presenting solutions clearly in reports and presentations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Designing, testing, installing, and monitoring systems during project phases
• Preparing documentation and progress reports post-implementation

Technical proficiency required:

• Microsoft technologies, including Office 365 Cloud, Exchange Online, and SQL; experience with MS Azure / AWS is advantageous
• Azure AD, Intune, Power Apps (preferred but not essential)
• Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy
• Virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware)
• Network hardware (Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Wi-Fi)
• Storage solutions (SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel)
• Mobile Device Management and Security products
• Backup and Disaster Recovery technologies, with strong understanding of Business Continuity Planning
