Job description

Applications are invited for a Service Delivery Driver - Class C at our Widnes site, working 48 hours per week in line with the EU Drivers Hours rules and the Working Time Directive (WTD). The work involves a day shift pattern with flexible starting times, across a 5-day week (Wednesday to Sunday).

As a Service Delivery Driver - Class C, your duties will include:

1. The collection and exchange of litre wheelie bins from clients’ premises containing food and catering waste.
2. Returning the wheelie bins to the Widnes site and offloading the material into hoppers.
3. Completion of all required documentation.
4. Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean, undertaking required vehicle checks.
5. Acting as an ambassador on behalf of ReFood, ensuring courteous and respectful treatment of clients.
6. Using an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirements.

The Person

1. Hold a full, clean HGV Class C Driving licence.
2. Be smart in appearance (uniform provided) and have a pleasant manner.
3. Represent the company positively when visiting sites and communicating with customers.
4. Demonstrate understanding of EU Rules and WTD.
5. Undertake a Disclosure and Barring check, as required.
6. Hold a Driver CPC.
