Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team in ABB’s Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing planned preventative maintenance service activities for robots at customer sites mainly in the UK and Ireland, ensuring full compliance with ABB’s and customer standards, policies, and procedures. Acting as the single point of contact during service execution, this role champions customer satisfaction, resource optimization, and service excellence.

Robotics is a very interesting field, offering constant development possibilities and making every day different. We have a positive and joyful atmosphere, and no micromanagement.

Please note that the work model for the role is #LI-onsite, which means working at our Milton Keynes office 5 days per week. This is a full-time position, but daily working hours can be somewhat flexible.

In this role, you will collaborate with two other Service Coordinators to optimize allocation of Field Service Engineers. You will ensure responsive and professional support to exceed customer expectations, resolve issues collaboratively with engineers and managers, and ensure compliance with agreements. You will also track service job completion, ensure timely and accurate documentation, and monitor & manage the cost of poor quality to minimize rework. Additionally, you will proactively suggest ideas to further develop service delivery processes.

To summarize, you will be mainly accountable for:

  • Service delivery coordination in a customer-centric manner
  • Ensuring operational excellence
Qualifications for the role
  • Experience in service coordination or operations, preferably in an industrial or technical services environment.
  • Strong organizational, self-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional communication skills, demonstrating high ownership and a positive ambassador mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of service agreements, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
