Job description

We are currently seeking a Service Consultant to join our Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) team, based in the UK, to grow our Service business by selling new service contracts across various vertical markets such as Healthcare, Education, Industrial, Manufacturing, and Utilities. Reporting to the European Service Sales Leader, your main focus will be to identify new service customers from targeted end users, newly installed projects, or non-contracted installed bases.

You will build customer contacts and provide consultative support by understanding their needs (energy saving, customer experience, regulations) and creating value propositions based on our Service Offerings. Your responsibilities include developing service proposals based on SaaS models, negotiating contracts, and securing orders.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Achieve annual orders quota by closing new maintenance contracts, adhering to pricing and sales policies.
  2. Identify and qualify new customer acquisition opportunities to expand the service customer base.
  3. Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Service Professionals, and other support functions.
  4. Create Service Proposals in partnership with Business Consultants for new installation opportunities.
  5. Promote Building Performance Services, focusing on FORGE predictive maintenance and Energy Efficiency.
  6. Develop relationships with existing customers to increase their share of Honeywell's service portfolio.
  7. Understand customer operational issues and develop strategies to address them.
  8. Engage with HON leadership to support customer relationships at executive levels.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
  10. Identify innovative ways Honeywell can add value to customers.
  11. Be prepared to travel across the UK (approximately 50%).
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in business or a technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in service sales with a consultative approach.
  • Experience in selling software or energy efficiency solutions.
  • Significant quota-carrying sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of Building Management Systems, Fire, Security, and Energy Management.
  • Experience in the Building Automation / Smart Buildings industry.
