Job description

A London market insurance business that has shown significant growth in the last two years is looking for an experienced accountant to manage the UK Corporate Finance Team during a period of change to the groups profile. The role will ensure accurate books and records are maintained for the UK Corporate Entities including:

• Monthly sign off on all balance sheet reconciliations
• All bank accounts reconciled on at least a monthly basis to an appropriate standard.
• Intercompany balances are reconciled on a monthly basis and any breaks are resolved
• Robust controls over ledger postings
• Group standards set by parent company for chart of accounts are adhered to.
• Ensure efficient and effective process for expense reporting exists and the group team adheres to required levels of accuracy for HMRC, individual company materiality.
• Group wide accounting policies determined by the Group FC are adhered to
• Ensure UK corporate team delivers all required internal reporting by the set deadlines and to the standards set by Bermuda Group.
• Ensure all entities are posted in GL and signed off on a monthly basis
• Ensure accurate cash flow reporting occurs
• Build working day timetable for all deliverables and ensure the UK Corporate team tracks to it.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in service company accounting principles, intercompany recharges and be familiar with complex corporate structures. You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience gained in an insurance business (broader FS may be considered).
