World leading international industrial engineering group who develop bespoke special purpose machinery have an opportunity to join their growing team as a Service & Commissioning Engineer.

Service & Commissioning Engineer

£35,000 - £60,000 OTE + c15% Pension + Company Car/Van

Service & Commissioning Engineer - The Role:
  1. Commissions equipment on customer sites in UK, Europe and occasionally worldwide.
  2. Takes full responsibility for Health and Safety.
  3. Achieves close liaison with on-site contractors, engineers, and customers to ensure successful completion of commissioning.
  4. Responsible for the training process with customers.
  5. Attends meetings with customers to provide advice and support.
  6. Services equipment on customer sites in UK, Europe, and occasionally worldwide.
  7. Attends emergency service calls and also planned calls to customers.
  8. Ascertains the nature of equipment problems and ensures that all necessary spares and tools are available.
  9. Liaison with all levels of client companies through the MD/Owner level.
  10. Has a good knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations to be fully responsible for Health & Safety of equipment during commissioning.
  11. Produces clear, concise verbal and written reports on issues where difficulties or disputes have arisen.
Service & Commissioning Engineer - The Person:
  1. ONC/HNC Electrical or minimum of City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  2. Prior experience within an industrial service industry.
  3. Skilled in hands-on electrical engineering.
  4. Fully aware of Health & Safety legislation and requirements.
  5. Commercial awareness.
  6. Experience of hydraulics and mechanics beneficial.
