Overview

Purpose of the role

This role is all about being an integral part of an energetic office team, providing exceptional support service to the Iceland Refrigeration field teams. You will ensure seamless service and equipment maintenance support for our stores and valued customers, making a real impact every day!

Responsibilities

In this role you can expect to:

  • Help support the Management Team and engineers in the field with the following.
  • Collaboratively assist in call handling and verify the Engineers' job lists, ensuring all tasks have been scheduled correctly.
  • Work with the Management team in helping to re-allocate calls to alternate engineers when necessary.
  • Continuously monitor allocated areas for any off-sale or urgent calls, ensuring the field team is promptly informed and ready to respond.
  • Follow up on Out of Hours calls each morning, consulting with engineers, Area Refrigeration Managers and third party out of hours service providers.
  • Collate time sheets daily confirming engineer time worked is recorded correctly.
  • Accurately raise refrigerant and parts orders for engineers, communicating with suppliers and updating refrigerant / gas bottle information on SharePoint.
  • Actively follow up on parts orders and obtaining proof of deliveries, before arranging engineer attendance.
  • Effectively communicate with the field team and suppliers to collaboratively address and resolve any parts issues.
  • Provide updates for open calls to ensure key stakeholders are kept up to date.
  • Efficiently process condemnations of cabinets that need to be removed from the store and follow up on them promptly, ensuring smooth operations and effective teamwork.
  • Consult with the Area Refrigeration Managers weekly to ensure that on-call rotas for the out of hours calls are in place. Communicate details to third party suppliers.
