Job description

At KFH, we are seeking a Service Charge Accountant to join our Block and Portfolio Management Accounts team. Are you an experienced Client Accounts Manager or in a similar role? Do you have a proven track record in effectively managing a client portfolio and providing excellent accounting services? Do you excel at building strong relationships with clients and colleagues? We are looking for a collaborative individual who shares knowledge and embraces innovation.

With over 60 branches across London, KFH is the capital's largest independent property services group, managing over 15,000 units across 130 locations with a portfolio worth £10 billion. We offer a range of services including block management, commercial, residential, and financial services. You will be responsible for managing a client portfolio from start to finish and will report to the Senior Portfolio Accountant & Portfolio Account Director.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation of annual service charge budgets and ten-year maintenance plans
• Attending client meetings as required
• Checking and authorizing supplier invoices daily
• Reconciling quarterly financial reports and balances for clients/properties
• Assisting with the preparation of P11d forms for employees
• Preparing ground rent reports and managing fund transfers
• Generating monthly client reports, including bespoke Excel reports
• Conducting year-end procedures, including preparing trial balances, income & expenditure reports, and section 20b notices

As a Service Charge Accountant, you will play a vital role in client retention by fostering long-term relationships.
