Responsibilities

  • Raising service charge and ground rent demands.
  • Monitoring service charge expenditure.
  • Preparing year end packs for accountants.
  • Reconciling and issuing the service charge year end accounts.
  • Responding to queries from leaseholders and clients.
  • Processing and paying invoices.
  • Internal bank transfers.
  • BACS payments to suppliers.
  • Inputting payments received.
  • Taking telephone payments.

Overview

Job Title: Service Charge Accountant

Location: The Acorn Group Head Office - Bromley, Kent

Brand: The Acorn Group

Salary: £28,000.00 to £30,000.00 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5:30pm (hybrid working available upon successful completion of the probationary period)

Contract Length: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Role summary and key responsibilities

The Acorn Group is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Controller to join the Block Management team. The successful applicant will be a team player preferably with experience in service charge accounts. You will be highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver an exceptional level of customer service.

Duties will include:
