Overview

Manpower are recruiting for temporary Service Centre/ Warehouse Operatives to work in York City Centre at Train Station on a temp basis on ongoing contract.

We are looking for someone to start in next couple weeks and someone who is able to work either days or nights.

Pay - £12.21 on days and £13.43 on nights

You will work 5 days out of 7 each week. Full time hrs - (Sunday to Saturday) Shift work - 8.5 hours. Hours between 6am - 20.00. So sometime you might start at 6am, sometimes you might start at 11am or 9am, or on nights.

Responsibilities
  • You will be issuing goods accurately
  • To ensure that all the goods issued are placed onto either pallets or in cages in a neat and safe manner
  • To ensure that any goods issued to all departments are accompanied by an internal delivery note
  • To be responsible for the stacking and storage of all goods in the Unit into designated areas
  • To ensure that all stock is rotated efficiently and effectively
  • To ensure that all stock checks are carried out as and when required
  • To ensure that all equipment is correctly used and any damage or faults are reported
  • Must be PC Literate
  • Loading trains
  • Acting as a driver\'s mate when required
  • Completing admin tasks & paperwork
  • De-stocking, re-stocking & dispatching carts
  • Any additional tasks as the role evolves
  • Note: These tasks are not restricted to York. Staff may be required to work at other service centres when needed. Free travel is provided via the van or trains. If Leeds (or another centre) requires support, this should be accepted as part of the role.
