Location: Huntingdon, UK

As someone experienced in working in a Repair Centre, Bench or Workshop, as a leader of people - you will be managing a small, exceptionally talented, team to forge ahead in the servicing and repair of our phenomenally innovative medical devices.

About Us:At Mindray, we are dedicated to providing top-notch technical services to our customers across the UK. Our Service Centre is the heart of our operations, ensuring that our customer requirements are met with precision and professionalism.

What You'll Do:As our Supervisor, you will:

  • Take ownership of the day-to-day running of the Service Centre (based in Huntingdon) and all activities within it.
  • Provides technical service support on the inspection, repair and calibration of Mindray products for customers nationwide.
  • Maintains accurate records of spare parts inventory, workshop tools, test equipment and loan devices. Ensuring all test equipment and tools remain in full working condition.
  • Maintain local spare parts safety stock with guidance from the Spare Parts Centre.
  • Control the Test equipment fleet for the Service Department and ensure the calibration records are kept in accordance with our ISO registration.
  • Assist the Service Manager with workshop processes and procedures in accordance with our ISO registration.
  • Training of technical staff, both internally and externally, on designated equipment.
  • Assist the Service Manager in the management of Distributors and 3rd party service providers.
  • Operates a hands on mentoring approach to your direct reports (currently 2), carrying out any set training plans.
  • Assist the Service Manager in developing and maintaining a set technical training schedule for external Technicians/Engineers.
  • Assist with Field based Field Safety Notices and works in conjunction with the Service Manager and Field Service Supervisors to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide weekly updates and reporting to the Service Manager

What We're Looking For:

  • To be successful, you will be one of the following:
  • Currently working as a Workshop, Repair Centre, Bench, Service Centre or Maintenance Manager in an industry similar to medical device servicing (i.e. electronic products)
  • You will be a senior or lead engineer in a bench team, seeing this as career development
  • You will be a Service Centre, Workshop, Repair or Bench Supervisor in Medical Devices looking to be based in Huntingdon, Monday to Friday
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of electronic medical equipment.
  • Ideally you will have people management experience in previous roles
  • Our preference would be knowledge of Medical Capital equipment, but the right skills and behaviour are more critical!
  • Well-organized and able to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with computer and office software, including intermediate Microsoft Excel & Word and advanced CRM systems.
  • Ability to work in the UK on a permanent basis without the requirement of company sponsorship
