Overview

We are looking for a registered Psychologist who has the appropriate competencies and experience to lead our services.

You will already be working at Consultant level or be ready to take this step. You will come from a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist background and have experience of working at a Band C (NHS) equivalent level to provide regional leadership of services and people for the area advertised. In this role, you will develop our psychology services and psychosocial interventions offer to support people experiencing difficulties associated with drug and alcohol use.

• Based from a local delivery hub – Beckton Road
• Contracted Hours – part time 22.5 hours

CGL Full Time Salary Range: £71,019.52 - £80,438.80 (pro rata for part time hours)

Allowances: £4,072.06 Inner London Weighting (pro rata for part time hours)

Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities

We want all of our services to be Psychologically Informed. We support people experiencing difficulties associated with a range of challenges, most frequently including drug and alcohol use. We want to focus our Psychology resources to support equity and assure quality and delivery of evidence-based interventions as outlined in Drug Misuse and Dependence: UK Guidelines on Clinical Management 2017.

You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams and your focus will be the excellent delivery of recommended specialised interventions. These form the primary Job Plan for all Psychology positions, contributing to supporting recovery and are detailed within our Job Descriptions.

For you to bring your very best to this role, you will need to be an open-minded leader of Psychology and Psychological Therapies.

You will be joining a brilliant national team of Psychologists and qualified counsellors; we also have a range of highly committed and passionate staff who deliver psychosocial interventions – whether on a 1-1 basis or in groups. Monthly clinical supervision will be from our Head of Psychology and Psychological Therapies, or their designated leads.
