A leading consulting firm is seeking an IT Service Management Consultant to design and implement service operating models in London. The successful candidate will have deep ITIL v4 knowledge and experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow. This contract role pays £500 per day and requires on-site presence once a week, lasting for 6 months.

Job description

Service Management Consultant (SC)

We are seeking an experienced IT Service Management Consultant to lead the design and implementation of service operating models that support a modern, product - centric organisation. This role would require a strategic thinker with strong ITIL expertise and a passion for driving service excellence across IT Teams

Rate - £500.00 per day outside ir35

Location - London - once a week onsite

Duration - 6 Months

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect end-to-end IT service operating models aligned with a product-centric approach.Consult with business and IT stakeholders to assess, improve, and implement ITIL-aligned practices.Conduct maturity assessments and gap analyses against current ITIL practices and develop actionable roadmaps.Advise on metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to measure service performance, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.Support the enhancement of ITSM tooling (e.g., ServiceNow) to align with ITIL best practices and evolving business needs.Drive organisational change and user adoption through effective stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams, change managers, and service owners to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • In depth knowledge of ITIL v4 with relevant certification
  • Proven experience in designing or improving service management capabilities across Enterprise environments
  • Hands on experience with ITSM tools which include ServiceNow, BMC Remedy or Jira Service Management
  • Familiarity with product team operating models and agile devops environments
  • Excellent skills in documentation, process design, stakeholder communication and governance development
  • Ability to develop and present detailed operating models, process flows and service design documentation

Please note that due to the current timeframes, you must hold an active SC Clearance or you will not be eligible for this position
