Job Description:
  • Carrying out regular servicing of automated products and reconditioning equipment when required by customers, either on site or at the workshop.
  • Carrying out onsite welding and repairs.
  • Installation of new gates, barriers, bollards, and fencing including groundworks and labouring.
  • Installation of automated products to existing gates.
  • Installation of Entry Systems: intercoms and card readers.
  • Fault Finding on Site – Emergency Response Call outs.
  • Making up control boards for installation.
  • Organising and loading materials onto vehicle/trailer for the day’s work.
  • Completing Engineers Report Sheets with detailed information.
  • General workshop duties including cleaning, tidying, stock management, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Maintaining the company van and reporting mileage/problems for servicing or repairs.
  • Completing daily timesheets for monthly submission.
  • Undertaking supplier training courses and Health & Safety Tests for CSCS Card.
Skills required for this Role:
  • Experience with Automated Gate Systems, both installation and servicing. Transferable skills in electrical or mechanical backgrounds are also considered.
  • A Full UK Driving License.
  • Electrical knowledge, especially with access control/intercom systems and wiring of control panels (not essential for lower salary levels).
  • Availability for a 1 in 4 call-out rota, including unsociable hours.
Additional Skills (not essential but advantageous):
  • Experience with CCTV/Intruder Alarm Systems.
  • Ability to tow a trailer.
  • Welding skills.
