Job summary

Flagship Services, part of Bromford Flagship Livewest, is recruiting a Service & Breakdown Engineer to service and repair domestic heating systems across our homes. You’ll work independently with a focus on first-time fixes, safety checks and outstanding customer service in postcodes NR and PE and surrounding areas.

We offer a permanent role with a 40-hour week, a company van and tools, ongoing training and a clear path for career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• proven experience in heating and plumbing maintenance, servicing and repairs.
• Water Regulations (WREG) qualification.
• full UK driving licence.
• strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• excellent communication and customer service skills.
• the ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• servicing, maintaining and repairing domestic heating systems.

Due to some exciting changes to our service provision we're currently recruiting for multiple roles across multiple areas, including: NR and PE postcodes and surrounding areas.

Hours: Full Time - 40 hpw Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent + company van and tools

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heating systems across a range of homes. Working independently, you'll manage both planned and reactive work while ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• servicing, maintaining and repairing domestic heating systems.

• diagnosing faults and delivering effective first-time fixes.

• completing safety checks, certifications and accurate documentation.

• providing an excellent customer experience in every home you visit.

• participating in the on-call rota to support emergency repairs.

• managing vehicle stock, materials and equipment effectively.

• working safely in line with Gas Safe, OFTEC and company procedures.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with outstanding customer service.

You'll have:

• proven experience in heating and plumbing maintenance, servicing and repairs.

• current ACS and domestic gas qualifications including: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1 and CMDDA1.

• Water Regulations (WREG) qualification.

• full UK driving licence.

• strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• excellent communication and customer service skills.

• the ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
