Job description

VANRATH is working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland's most reputable commercial vehicle dealerships to assist in the recruitment of a Customer Service Agent.

This is a permanent position offering a great opportunity for someone with a background in customer-facing roles to join a stable, well-established company known for internal progression and long-term career development.

Location: Templepatrick or Ballyclare
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Highly competitive, with a strong benefits package including a contributory pension scheme

Role Overview:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing professional and helpful support from initial enquiry through to job completion

  • Maintain and update vehicle service records and schedule reminders to ensure proactive customer engagement

  • Coordinate with internal systems to manage bookings for vehicle inspections and maintain database accuracy

  • Generate and assign workshop job cards, track job progress, and support the workshop with accurate information

  • Assist with the completion of job documentation and invoicing processes

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular service follow-ups and outbound communication

  • Prepare and issue service quotes, particularly in relation to maintenance packages and contract agreements

  • Work closely with the Workshop Foreman to support daily planning and ensure service efficiency

  • Notify customers of any additional work required, provide clear cost estimates, and gain approval before proceeding

  • Deliver clear post-service communication, outlining completed work and coordinating vehicle collection or delivery

About You:

  • Experience in a customer service or service advisory role, ideally within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail with solid organisational skills

  • Full UK driving licence required
