Service Advisor needed in the Salisbury area of Wiltshire.

We are working with a Motor Garage who are actively looking for a Service Advisor to join their friendly team in the Dorchester area of Dorset.

Job Role – Motor Vehicle Service Advisor

Total hours per week: 47.5

Hours of work: 8:00 – 18:30, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota basis.

Basic salary: £28,000 per annum with uncapped bonus, OTE £34,000.

Service Advisor Duties include:

  • Ensuring customers are aware of service and repair work required to their vehicles in a professional manner.
  • Advising on estimated costs of repairs and work to be undertaken.
  • Selling additional products as appropriate to customers’ needs.
  • Advising on timescales and collection arrangements.
  • Producing job cards on in-house computer systems.
  • Updating customer and vehicle records.
  • Documenting all warranty work in accordance with manufacturer policy.
  • Preparation and completion of invoices.

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience working as a Service Advisor within a motor garage, either in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, HGV, or LCV environment.
  • Full driving license.

As a Service Advisor, you will ensure the highest standards of courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers and the public. The client is particularly interested in candidates with strong customer service skills, excellent rapport, and the ability to deliver great CSI results, along with confidence in up-selling opportunities.
