Overview

Location: Volkswagen Darlington

Contract type: Permanent, full-time

Working hours: 8.00AM - 5.30PM Monday to Friday, 8.00AM - 12Noon Saturday on rota

Salary: Up to £32k including OTE

We're seeking a Service Advisor to join Volkswagen Darlington. This permanent role involves a 42-hour week, including Saturday mornings on a rota, with a competitive starting salary of £26,000 plus a generous, uncapped bonus. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a premium brand VW.

You will be part of a friendly and efficient Aftersales team led by a talented Service Manager. We support your growth through ongoing training and one-to-one coaching.

As a Service Advisor, you will provide customers with a personalized, premium experience during servicing, MOT, and repairs. Your role involves sharing your knowledge clearly to help customers make informed decisions about their vehicle servicing. We offer continuous training, including customer experience workshops.

  • Booking MOTs, services, and repairs
  • Advising on warranty cover and upselling parts/accessories
  • Liaising with the Aftersales department to organize appointments based on workload
  • Handling high volumes of customer interactions via phone and online
  • Communicating turnaround times and updates throughout the service process
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and updating systems

Ideal candidates will have energy, a warm personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport. Ability to explain technical information clearly is essential. Experience with Kerridge/ADP is advantageous.

You should be able to keep accurate customer records, work well independently and as part of a team. We welcome applicants from similar automotive roles or those passionate about cars and customer service.
