Location: Colchester Jaguar Land Rover

Contract type: Permanent, full-time

Working hours: 42 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm, Saturday on a rota basis 8am – 12pm

Salary: £26,000 Basic, Plus Annual Bonus

We are seeking a Service Advisor to join our team at Colchester Jaguar Land Rover. This permanent role offers a 42-hour workweek, including Saturday mornings on a rota, with a competitive starting salary of £26,000 plus a generous, uncapped bonus. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a premium brand.

You will be part of a friendly and efficient Aftersales team led by a talented Service Manager. We support our staff with continuous training and one-to-one coaching to help develop your skills and knowledge.

As a Service Advisor, your role is to provide our customers with a personalized, premium experience when they return for servicing, MOT, and repairs. You will need to demonstrate knowledge and expertise to inform customers about their vehicle servicing options. We offer ongoing training through customer experience workshops to enhance your skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Booking MOTs, services, and repairs for customers
  2. Advising customers on warranty cover and upselling parts/accessories beneficial to them
  3. Coordinating with the Aftersales team to organize and schedule appointments based on workload
  4. Managing high volumes of customer interactions via phone, online, and in person
  5. Communicating turnaround times and updates throughout the service process
  6. Maintaining accurate customer records and updating systems accordingly

Ideal candidates will have energy, a warm personality, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly are essential. Experience with Kerridge/ADP systems is advantageous.

You should be capable of maintaining accurate customer records, work well independently and as part of a team, and ideally have experience in the automotive industry or a strong interest in cars and customer service.
