Overview

Birmingham HUB

Working hours: 42 hours per week (rota basis between Monday to Friday 8:00 to 17:30 and alternate Saturdays 08:00 to 12:30). Salary: Up to £34,000 OTE (including basic of £26,000 to £28,000 depending on experience + £6,000 bonus). Lookers Birmingham Vauxhall and Used Car HUB are recruiting for an experienced and career-driven Service Advisor to join our Aftersales Team, which includes Service Advisors, Vehicle Technicians, Apprentices, and our friendly Service Manager.

Our Service Advisors play a vital role in providing our customers with a personalized, premium experience, encouraging repeat business for servicing, MOT, and repairs. They utilize their knowledge and expertise to ensure customers have all the necessary information for vehicle servicing decisions. You will benefit from continuous training opportunities through our in-house brand development and mentorship from the Service Manager and General Manager. This is an exciting opportunity with potential for career progression within Lookers!

Responsibilities
  • Booking MOTs, services, and other repair work for customers
  • Advising customers on warranty cover and upselling parts/accessories beneficial to them
  • Liaising with the Aftersales department to organize and schedule appointments based on workload and call volume
  • Managing a high volume of customer interactions daily, including phone calls and online bookings
  • Informing customers of turnaround times and maintaining effective communication during vehicle servicing
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and updating systems with booking information
Qualifications

We seek energetic, personable candidates passionate about delivering first-class customer service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport are essential, along with the ability to explain technical information clearly. Experience with Kerridge / ADP or other dealer systems is advantageous. You should be a team player capable of working independently and have previous experience in a similar automotive role. A passion for cars and customer service is a must!
