Service & Ad-hoc Maintenance Engineer

Location: Eastwood, Nottingham

Hourly rate: £18-£19p/h

Working hours: Various

Contract type: Temporary

Start date: ASAP

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service & Ad-hoc Maintenance Engineer to join one of our global leader clients in the design and manufacturing sectors. The role will be hands-on, involving servicing, maintaining, and occasionally commissioning systems. You will also need to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently, often in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out servicing and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
  • Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment failures quickly and effectively, carrying out repairs
  • Conduct inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and completed service reports

Liaise with external vendors and teams where necessary. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the manager. Be flexible to attend last-minute maintenance tasks as required.

As a Service & Ad-hoc Maintenance Engineer, you will have the following skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role
  • Mechanically minded with a qualification in electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled engineering
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
