Job summary

Minster Law is seeking a Serious Injury Fee Earner (Grade B*) to manage a portfolio of serious injury claims, handling mostly RTA cases with complex issues. The role sits in Legal Services with fully remote working and a salary of £40,000–£50,000, travel across England and Wales as required.

You will mentor colleagues, contribute to department strategy, and work with a multidisciplinary team to secure settlements and interim payments while maintaining exceptional client care and tight case

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Fellow of CILEx with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience or equivalent experience to charge and recover Grade B rates.
• Proven track record of dealing with serious injury claims; experienced litigator with strong technical ability and knowledge of court procedures.
• Commitment to delivering excellent client care for each of our clients.
• Excellent communication skills including negotiation and objection handling.
• Competent working with a case management system and good knowledge of Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent client care to clients who have suffered traumatic injuries.
• Support Team Leader in leadership and motivation with clear objectives and KPIs.
• Conduct regular technical and case reviews, providing feedback and mentoring.
• Manage regular client communications and meetings with multidisciplinary teams.

# Serious Injury Fee Earner – Grade B* Location: Remote Working, Wakefield* Department: Legal Services* Employment Type: File Handler – Grade B* Remote Status: Fully Remote* Salary: £40000 – £50000Apply on TeamTailor**Job Summary**To handle a portfolio of claimant serious injury claims for Minster Law clients and contribute to the general success of the department. The caseload is predominantly RTA based and involves cases with complex technical issues and quantum. The value of cases will range between £50k – £150k To provide mentoring support to Serious Injury team colleagues within the Department handling a portfolio of compensation claims. You will be an ambassador of the business, contributing to the department strategy and growth.**Core Responsibilities**• You will be responsible for delivering excellent client care to our clients who have suffered from a traumatic and life changing event.• Support your Team Leader in leadership and motivation of your team ensuring clear objectives and KPIs are followed, performance issues are actively managed and development plans are in place in accordance with company policy.• Conduct regular technical and case reviews, providing feedback and mentoring as required.• Regular communication and face to face meetings with your client.• Instructions and meetings with a multi-disciplinary team of experts for example, medical experts, case managers, care experts, architects, forensic accountants, counsel.• Analysis of evidence and research of legal issues on liability, causation and quantum.• Drafting documents including statements, pleadings and schedules of loss.• Securing early interim payments and appropriate rehabilitation.• Optimising your client’s settlement.• Ability to work with a task-based case management system to ensure regular contact is maintained with all clients, providing exceptional customer service and managing their expectations.• Raising awareness of the department and developing your professional profile. We have close links with APIL, Headway, and SIA, you will be involved in supporting these organisations with networking and business development. For example, reporting cases, preparing articles and testimonials.• Supervision, mentoring and development of junior members of the team as appropriate.• Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment.• To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.**Key Performance Indicators**Your KPI’s and Objectives will be discussed and agreed with you on a one-to-one basis.
