Nuffield Health seeks an experienced SEO Manager to oversee our website migration from planning through post-launch recovery, ensuring the new site preserves and grows organic visibility across hospitals, fitness and wellbeing content. You will own technical, on-page and keyword research, work with development, content and product teams, and monitor performance in the weeks after go-live.

SEO MANAGER for Website Migration

Barbican, London | Hybrid Working (1 office day per week) | Fixed-Term Contract: 12 Months | Full-Time

Nuffield Health is migrating its website, and we need an experienced SEO specialist to protect and grow our organic visibility throughout the process. One of the key outcomes is to lay the right foundations on the new website from structure, on-page to technical SEO to ensure the new site grows in AI and organic search.

Our site spans hospitals, fitness and wellbeing clubs, health information and corporate content across a large number of pages, so this migration carries real technical complexity. Migration will be the main focus of this role, from pre-migration audits and redirect mapping through to post-launch monitoring and recovery. Alongside that, you'll own day-to-day SEO activity, technical, on-page and keyword research, across the wider site. Getting this right protects the organic visibility that connects people to Nuffield Health's hospitals, gyms and health guidance.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Work with the team on SEO workstream for Nuffield Health's website migration from planning through to post-launch recovery, working closely with development, content and product colleagues.
• Build a full pre-migration audit: crawl the current site, benchmark rankings, traffic and Core Web Vitals, and flag high-value and high-traffic pages that need particular care.
• Create and maintain the URL redirect map, making sure every page has a clear destination and that redirects are implemented correctly, with no chains or loops.
• Validate technical SEO on the staging site before launch, including XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, structured data, metadata and internal linking.
• Pre-launch and launch-day checks, then monitor rankings, indexing, traffic and technical health closely in the weeks that follow, resolving issues quickly as they surface.
• Report on migration progress, risk and post-launch performance in terms stakeholders can act on.
• Run assessment on existing pages (migrate, optimise, consolidate, remove)
• Carry out keyword research to find opportunities across Nuffield Health's hospitals, fitness and wellbeing, and health content.
• Research and optimise on-page SEO, including page titles, meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking and content optimisation, across a large, multi-section website.
• Run regular technical SEO audits and work with developers to fix issues affecting crawlability, indexing and site performance.
• Keep on top of search engine changes, including how AI-generated answers and search features are affecting visibility, and adjust approach accordingly.
• Work with content, digital and trading colleagues to keep SEO aligned with wider business priorities.

What You'll Need:

• Proven experience managing SEO through a large-scale website migration, such as a domain change, CMS replatform or site restructure, including redirect mapping and post-launch recovery.
• Experience working on large, multi-section websites, comfortable prioritising where hundreds or thousands of pages are involved.
• A well-rounded SEO skill set covering technical SEO, keyword research and on-page optimisation, rather than a single specialism.
• Confident using Google Search Console and a crawling or auditing tool such as Screaming Frog or Ahrefs.
• Comfortable working to a fixed timeline and managing risk during a period of significant technical change.

Good to Have:

• Direct experience with Ahrefs.
• Experience in healthcare.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics.
• Understanding of how AI-generated answers, for example AI Overviews, are changing organic search, and how to optimise for them.
