Job summary

Sphere Digital Recruitment is seeking an SEO Account Manager or Technical SEO Manager for Manchester or Burscough. You will own client SEO & AI Search campaigns and drive ROI.

You will build integrated strategies across organic and AI search, lead AI visibility across major platforms, and act as the main contact for clients. You will coordinate internal teams, manage budgets, identify upsell opportunities, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' hands-on SEO experience in agency or in-house.
• Proven track record delivering measurable SEO results.
• Confident in managing client relationships and stakeholders.
• Strong grasp of on-page, off-page, technical SEO and content strategy.
• Experienced using SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, Sitebulb) and GA.
• Able to integrate SEO with PPC, social and content marketing.
• Excellent communication, storytelling with data.
• Organised, analytical, and client-focused.

The Job

• Lead AI Search Optimisation and LLM visibility strategy, helping clients show up across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini and beyond.
• Act as the main point of contact for your clients, presenting strategy, performance and insight with clarity and confidence.
• Coordinate internal teams to keep delivery sharp, efficient and on-brief.
• Manage budgets and resourcing carefully, keeping accounts profitable and on-scope.
• Spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and support new business pitches with SEO insight.
• Mentor Digital Marketing Executives and help build a team that's always levelling up.

You

• A natural communicator who can turn SEO data into a story clients care about.
• Organised, analytical, and genuinely client‑first.
