Job description

What you'll be doing

We’re seeking a curious SEO all-rounder to lead our efforts in Generative Engine Optimisation, enhancing visibility across AI-powered search experiences. As part of our Audience team, you’ll operate at the intersection of SEO, artificial intelligence, and digital content strategy, ensuring our brands are discoverable in AI-driven environments like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, and more.

Reporting to the SEO Director and collaborating within a small, experienced squad with access to data science, data engineering, and editorial support, you’ll combine deep SEO expertise (technical and content-based) with the latest AI strategies to improve content visibility, automate workflows, and develop tools that boost editorial and search performance.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop tools, shape best practices, and work closely with editorial, engineering, data science, commercial, and product teams. Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

• Minimum two years experience in an SEO-focused role
• Deep understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and off-page SEO
• Interest in AI and automation, particularly within the search landscape
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog
• Experience analyzing large datasets (e.g., server logs) to identify insights and opportunities
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, and BigQuery is desirable but not essential

The expected salary range is £35,000 - £50,000.

This is a hybrid role based at our Bath office, working three days in the office and two from home.
