About OCPR

OCPR is a fast-growing, full-service digital marketing agency based in Sheffield, UK, with a reputation for delivering bespoke, data-driven strategies across SEO, PPC, social media, web development, content and more. We partner closely with clients, from SMEs to internationally recognised brands, acting as an extension of their marketing teams to drive measurable organic growth and business results.

Role Overview

We're looking for an SEO Executive to join our growing agency and work across a range of client accounts.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the fundamentals of SEO and wants to develop their skills across the full discipline. You'll work closely with our Head of SEO, supporting everything from keyword research and content strategy to on-page optimisation, technical SEO and performance reporting.

You don't need to be an SEO expert. We're happy to teach the right person and help you develop your skills. What we're looking for is someone with a solid understanding of how SEO works, a genuine interest in learning, strong attention to detail and, importantly, the ability to write clear, engaging and well-structured content.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out keyword research and identifying relevant search opportunities
  • Supporting keyword mapping and content strategies
  • Writing and optimising website content, including landing pages, blogs and other SEO-led content
  • Reviewing existing content and making recommendations for improvement
  • Writing title tags, meta descriptions, headings and other on-page elements
  • Supporting internal linking strategies
  • Carrying out basic technical SEO audits and identifying issues that could affect organic performance
  • Making SEO recommendations to improve website structure, crawlability and indexation
  • Supporting competitor and SERP analysis
  • Monitoring keyword rankings, organic traffic and other SEO performance metrics
  • Helping to produce client reports and communicate SEO activity and performance
  • Supporting the implementation of SEO strategies across a range of client websites
  • Keeping up to date with changes in SEO, search behaviour and Google
  • Working closely with the Head of SEO to develop and execute client strategies

As you develop, you'll be given more ownership of client accounts and SEO projects.

What We're Looking For
Essential:
  • A good understanding of SEO fundamentals
  • Experience carrying out keyword research
  • An understanding of search intent and how it should influence content
  • A good understanding of on-page SEO
  • Basic knowledge of technical SEO, including crawling, indexing, redirects and site structure
  • Strong written English and the ability to write naturally for different audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and develop your SEO knowledge
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritise tasks
Desirable, but not essential:
  • Agency SEO experience
  • Experience using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics/GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog or similar
  • Experience with content briefs and content strategy
  • Experience reporting on SEO performance
  • Experience working with WordPress or other CMS platforms

You might be early in your SEO career, but you should be able to explain why you're making an SEO recommendation rather than simply following a checklist.

We're not expecting you to know everything.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
  • Is naturally curious and wants to understand how things work
  • Thinks critically rather than taking SEO rules at face value
  • Can look at a search result and understand why certain pages are ranking
  • Has a strong instinct for good content and good writing
  • Is comfortable asking questions when they don't know something
  • Takes ownership of their work
  • Spots problems and looks for solutions
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-moving agency environment
What we offer
  • Collaborative and creative environment where your insights shape client success
  • Opportunities for professional development and training in Social Media and wider digital strategy
  • Office shutdown over the Christmas holidays
  • Regular socials
  • Your birthday off
