Job Description:

Help Shape and Deliver Our Organic Growth Strategy

We’re looking for an ambitious and thoughtful SEO & Content Executive to join the Cutwel marketing team. If you’re someone who loves the challenge of improving organic visibility and has a strong grasp of both SEO and content creation, this is your opportunity to grow your skills, shape your work, and make a real impact.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to develop and refine our SEO approach and then take ownership of bringing it to life. From keyword research and technical fixes to content briefs and performance analysis, you’ll help build a joined-up strategy that supports long-term growth.

You won’t be on your own; you’ll be working alongside a Content Creation Apprentice who’ll help execute your plans, giving you the space to focus on higher-value work while mentoring a rising talent in the team.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to build confidence, grow their experience across both strategy and delivery, and be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the Head of Marketing in developing and refining the SEO strategy
  • Take ownership of day-to-day SEO execution, including:Keyword research and content opportunity analysis
  • On-page optimisation and metadata improvements
  • Technical audits and SEO best practices
  • Collaboration with developers to implement fixes
  • Plan and brief content that supports SEO goals
  • Optimise existing pages to improve rankings and engagement
  • Track performance using tools such as GA4, Search Console, Screaming Frog and SEMrush
  • Work closely with the Content Creation Apprentice to deliver and maintain content
  • Keep up to date with SEO trends, tools, and Google algorithm changes

What We’re Looking For

We’re open to different career backgrounds, but what matters most is a strong foundation in SEO, a love of well-written content, and a desire to keep learning and improving. We know that imposter syndrome can hold back amazing candidates, even if you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you; your perspective could be exactly what we need.

  • A good understanding of SEO principles and tools
  • Some hands-on experience with technical SEO and/or content optimisation (1+ year)
  • Strong writing or editorial skills (or the ability to brief others clearly)
  • Organised and proactive with good attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset; someone who works well with others and shares ideas
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog is a bonus
  • Confidence to take initiative and communicate clearly with others in the team

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • WFH 1-day per week with potential to increase over time
  • A supportive team that values learning, curiosity, and collaboration
  • Opportunities to lead projects, try new tools, and expand your skillset
  • A Content Creation Apprentice to help support your work
  • A business that backs its marketing team with investment and trust
  • A friendly culture where your ideas and input are genuinely valued
