Role: SEO and Content Manager

Location: Leeds, LS15 8GB (Hybrid)

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE, plus up to a 10% annual bonus and extensive benefits

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

We are seeking a strategic and results driven SEO and Content Manager to lead the development and execution of our organic search and content marketing strategies. This role combines deep knowledge of SEO best practices with the ability to create and manage high-quality content that aligns with our Pharmacy2U brand, engages our audience, and drives measurable results. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing organic visibility, improving search rankings, driving traffic, and enhancing on-site engagement. You will collaborate across different departments within our business to ensure SEO is embedded in all digital initiatives.

What you'll be doing
  • SEO Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy to increase organic search visibility and traffic
  • SEO audits and recommendations: Conduct regular SEO audits and make data driven recommendations for improvement
  • Keyword research and competitive analysis: Perform keyword research and competitor analysis to identify new content opportunities
  • On-site optimization: Optimise website structure, content, and metadata to align with SEO best practices
  • Performance monitoring: Monitor and improve website performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexation)
  • Link-building and outreach: Build and execute link-building campaigns and outreach initiatives
  • Team management: Manage SEO and content executives
Content Management
  • Plan, create, and oversee high-quality content aligned with SEO strategy and Pharmacy2U business goals
  • Manage editorial calendars to ensure consistent and timely content delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external writers, editors, and designers
  • Ensure all content is optimised for SEO, brand voice, and user experience
  • Update and refresh existing content to maintain performance and relevance
Analytics & Reporting
  • Use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track and report on SEO performance and content impact
  • Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement
  • Prepare monthly reports for stakeholders highlighting key metrics, achievements, and upcoming priorities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with web developers to implement technical SEO fixes and enhancements
  • Partner with product/Programme teams and other marketing teams to support campaign goals and product launches
  • Provide SEO training and guidance to other teams where needed
Who are we looking for?
  • Proven experience in an SEO-focused or content-led role (agency or in-house)
  • Strong understanding of both technical and on-page SEO best practices
  • Solid experience using SEO tools like Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar
  • Confident performing keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing or collaborating on a content calendar or content strategy
  • Comfortable using a CMS (WordPress, Shopify, or similar) to publish and optimise content
  • A good grasp of how content, SEO, UX, and wider marketing strategy fit together
