The Opportunity

Our agency partner is an ambitious, forward-thinking digital performance marketing agency helping brands achieve measurable growth through data, technology and innovative marketing.

They're looking for an experienced SEO & AI Strategy Manager to lead organic search strategies across an exciting portfolio of clients while helping shape the agency's evolving AI Search and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) offering.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who combines strong SEO fundamentals, commercial thinking and a genuine passion for the future of search.

You'll develop strategies that improve organic visibility, engagement and conversions, while exploring how brands can increase their presence across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI-powered discovery platforms.

Working closely with SEO, Content, Digital PR, PPC and Client Services teams, you'll turn audience insights, data and emerging technologies into strategies that deliver genuine commercial impact.

SEO Strategy & Organic Growth

• Develop and own SEO strategies and roadmaps across multiple client accounts.
• Identify growth opportunities through keyword research, search intent, competitor analysis and audience insights.
• Prioritise improvements across technical SEO, content, internal linking, site architecture and authority building.
• Deliver commercially focused strategies that improve visibility, engagement, conversions and revenue.

Content Strategy & Brand Authority

• Develop content strategies, topic clusters and briefs based on audience needs and search behaviour.
• Champion original, authoritative and genuinely useful content.
• Audit existing content to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
• Strengthen brand authority, topical relevance and content quality across traditional and AI-powered search.
• Help develop the agency's AI Search and GEO proposition.
• Explore opportunities to improve brand visibility within AI-generated answers and conversational search.
• Assess websites for AI-search readiness, including brand authority, entity understanding and citation potential.
• Monitor developments across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot.
• Test emerging tools and approaches to measuring AI visibility, brand mentions and citations.
• Turn successful experiments into practical strategies and repeatable services for clients.
• Monitor SEO and AI Search performance, turning data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Present strategies and insights confidently to clients, acting as a trusted strategic adviser.
• Collaborate with SEO, Content, Digital PR, PPC and Client Services teams.
• Support new business pitches and strategic client opportunities.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to improving agency processes and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' SEO experience, ideally within a digital or performance marketing agency.
• Proven experience developing and delivering SEO strategies across multiple clients or projects.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, content strategy, search intent, on-page optimisation and authority building.
• A genuine interest in AI Search, large language models and GEO.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into commercial recommendations.
• Excellent understanding of high-quality content and how it supports brand visibility and engagement.
• Confident presenting strategies and communicating with clients.
• Experience using GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs and Screaming Frog.
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach.
