Job summary

A leading company in the renewable energy sector is seeking Wind Turbine Technicians to join their team. This role offers the chance to work in various locations across the UK on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off basis, specializing in the Senvion platform. Candidates should have a Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical qualification and be willing to travel. Location: UK Wide (Travel Required, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation)

As we expand our wind turbine fleet in the UK, we're looking for Wind Turbine Technicians to work on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off basis. You will lead the onboarding of newly acquired turbines and enhance our expertise on the Senvion platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travelling across the UK, has skills in turbine maintenance and troubleshooting, and is eager to share knowledge and support our team in maintaining high operational standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the condition of new turbines, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • Resolving issues identified during walk-downs to prepare turbines for full operation.
  • Enhancing our Senvion platform expertise by guiding maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Working hands-on with turbines to solve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Collaborating with remote support to analyze data and improve operations.
  • Mentoring fellow technicians on Senvion-specific issues and supporting team development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical qualification or equivalent experience in the wind industry.
  • Experience troubleshooting Senvion turbines.
  • Experience resolving issues during walk-downs.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites.
  • Full UK driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
  • Willing to participate in a weekend on-call rota.
