The role of a D1 Driver will be required to safely transport special educational needs (SEN) children forthe London Borough of Richmond and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, based from eitherour Richmond (presently at Twickenham) Depot or Kingston (presently at New Malden) for home toschool transport.

    The aim of SEN transport is to provide specialised home to school transport to children and young people living in the borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond to ensure that children and young people with SEN needs have the same opportunities to education as their peers.

    As a D1 Home to School Driver for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring vehicles are fit to purpose
  • Ensuring agreed collection, drop of and journey times are met
  • Ensuring safety and welfare of all passengers
  • To work effectively with the passenger assistant.
