Job summary

Griffith Foods is seeking a part-time Product Evaluation Assistant to profile a range of food products for appearance, aroma, flavour and texture, and confidently score them using defined criteria.

You will participate in panel discussions, submit accurate scoring data, attend training sessions, and develop knowledge of testing criteria. Hours are 9:30am–12:30pm Tue–Thu, 48 weeks per year, with a fixed gross salary of 5,582.21 GBP per year.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required for the role.
• Basic IT skills expected to operate data entry and scoring systems.
• Good written and spoken English to document scoring and participate in discussions.

• Profile a range of food products against appearance, aroma, flavour and texture.
• Confidently score products using defined criteria and ballots (paper or electronic).
• Submit accurate product scoring data into ballots.

Job Description Duties

• Profiling a range of food products against key criteria such as appearance, aroma, flavour, and texture.
• Develop own knowledge of testing criteria and be able to confidently score products against them
• Collaboratively participate in panel discussions, describing product attributes accurately and confidently
• Responsible for submitting accurate product scoring data into ballots in either paper or electronic formats
• Attend and participate in training sessions on product area and projects, ensuring continued understanding of product attributes and scale references is maintained

• Basic IT skills
• Good standard of written and spoken English

Hours of work are 9.30am to 12.30pm Tuesday to Thursday, 48 weeks per year. The base salary for this position is 5,582.21 GBP fix gross per year. This role is subject to the successful completion of a fully sensory screening which will form part of the interview process. Please be aware that you will be required to sample a wide range of products that may not be appropriate for all dietary requirements.
