Senior Engineer Working on Applied Core Touch Sensor Systems and Technologies

Cambridge (North); GBP DoE + Benefits

This Cambridge-based engineering team is developing cutting-edge touch technologies and sensors. Their collaborative approach fosters innovation and real-world applications. They are recruiting a Sensor Engineer / Physicist responsible for sensor performance enhancement, hardware and algorithm optimization, and enabling seamless integration between electronics, mechanical components, firmware, and algorithms.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in electronic engineering or applied physics (a PhD or Master’s degree is likely).
  • Relevant experience includes research and industrial development with sensor technologies (preferably touch sensors) and system integration.
  • Technical skills should include MATLAB, Python, and C for simulations, algorithm development, and data analysis.
  • Experience working closely with hardware and understanding data acquisition from sensors.
  • Experience with machine learning in advanced sensor algorithms and exposure to developing custom sensor ASICs is desirable. R&D experience with human-machine interface sensors is a plus.

Due to project requirements, the role will primarily be onsite. The Cambridge location is accessible via major rail and road routes with good public transport links. The package includes a competitive salary and benefits.
