As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Equities - Prime Financial Services, you are an essential member of the Core Engineering and Architecture group, which drives the modernization of applications across the group. This team focuses on data engineering, cloud migrations, and the adoption of AI4Tech within Prime Financial Services technology. You will influence significant business outcomes through your expertise, applying deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to address diverse challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide technical guidance and support to the business and technical teams.
2. Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
3. Make decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and operational processes.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple cloud technologies and learn the business functions within PFS.
5. Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices within the Software Development Life Cycle.
6. Encourage peers and project stakeholders to adopt cutting-edge technologies.
7. Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

1. Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with advanced experience in Java.
2. Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability.
3. Proficiency in Java and cloud technologies, including AWS services.
4. Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with expertise in disciplines such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile development.
5. Ability to independently resolve design and functionality challenges.
6. Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
7. Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

1. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
2. Expertise in software design and architecture.
3. Experience with Python or JavaScript.
