Job summary

North Yorkshire Youth is seeking a Senior Youth Worker to lead Kirkbymoorside Youth Club. The role involves planning and delivering engaging youth work sessions, coordinating volunteers, and maintaining safeguarding and health and safety standards.

You will build positive relationships with young people, helping them develop social, emotional, and life skills, while creating an environment where they feel valued and able to thrive.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with young people, particularly those with additional needs.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• Can confidently lead youth work sessions and support a team of volunteers.
• Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 2 Youth Work qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead youth work sessions and plan engaging activities.
• Coordinate and support volunteers to ensure smooth club delivery.
• Oversee safeguarding and health and safety, and manage risk assessments.
• Ensure the day-to-day running of the club is smooth and welcoming.
