Job summary

Chilypep in Sheffield seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead youth work teams at our Southey Hill base and support activities at the Barnsley base. This two-year fixed-term role focuses on staff leadership, safeguarding, and delivering funded outcomes with strong budget oversight.

You will mentor staff, supervise coordinators, and ensure high standards of youth participation while maintaining compliance with funder requirements and safeguarding processes.

Qualifications

• Senior manager with experience in the youth and VCS charity sector.
• Experience managing multiple teams and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Ability to ensure high standards of data collection, reporting and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the youth work teams including the Voice & Influence team and related youth clubs.
• Supervise and develop staff and volunteers, including recruitment where needed.
• Directly line manage Programme and Project Coordinators and oversee delivery plans.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and support to staff and volunteers.
• Maintain safeguarding, risk management and compliance with legal and funder requirements.
• Ensure programmes meet targets, outcomes and effective data reporting.
• Manage programme and project budgets and efficient use of resources.
