Overview

Senior Youth Worker (Sexual Health)

JNC Professional Range 22 – 25 - £38,757 - £41,755

Permanent, Working 36.5 hours per week.

You will be based at the Lighthouse and have a city wide brief.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sexual health and positive relationships with young people in youth centres, schools and in localities across Birmingham.
• Deliver sexual health provision within the Youth Service and work co-operatively with a team of youth workers.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with relevant organisations to strengthen outcomes for young people.
• Ensure the implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and the delivery of high-quality youth work to young people.
• Collaborate with other Senior Youth Workers and stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people.
• Contribute to planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire the best provision for young people.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Educated to degree level in Youth Work with a JNC qualification.
• Significant experience in managing and leading staff in youth work delivery.
• Strong understanding of relevant policies, practices, and national frameworks.
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.
