Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Band 6 Enhanced Wound Care nurse to join the Winchester District Nursing Teams on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will work under Clinical Nurse Specialists in Tissue Viability, delivering expert wound care education to community and care home staff while developing competence-based assessments and supporting leadership within the team.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse
• Post registration qualification or University Degree or relevant experience
• Teaching and assessing qualification ENB 998 or equivalent/mentorship qualification, including A1 & PETALS

Responsibilities

• The primary role is to work across a designated geographical area, providing support in tissue viability care across the community Winchester District.
• Lead and facilitate a patient-focused, co-ordinated case management approach across primary and secondary care for people with complex tissue viability issues.
• Undertake a comprehensive competence programme to ensure high levels of knowledge and skill in tissue viability care across the community team.
• Work in clinic settings, patients' homes and residential care settings to support general clinical staff in providing tissue viability care.
