Platform Recruitment is seeking a Senior Workshop Engineer to join an established engineering business in Hertfordshire. You will work on hands-on prototype build, test equipment design and fault diagnosis in a workshop setting.

You'll combine workshop-based engineering with development and testing of complex mechanical equipment, collaborating with a skilled team to improve performance, reliability and safety on varied projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' hands-on engineering experience.
• Experience with specialist machinery or mobile equipment.
• Knowledge of engines, electric motors and drive systems.
• Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Practical machining, fabrication and welding skills.
• Experience testing equipment against defined procedures.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Workshop Engineer to join an established engineering business involved in the development of complex mechanical equipment. The company focuses on product development, practical engineering and testing, supporting projects from prototype build through to performance evaluation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, hands‑on engineer looking to work on varied technical projects. You'll combine workshop-based engineering with prototype development, test equipment design and fault diagnosis, working alongside a wider engineering team to improve product performance, reliability and safety.
