Senior Engineer, Workplace Technology (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract with extension possible)
Location: Manchester, UK
Contract Type: Fixed-Term (12 months)
Salary: £50-£55,000

About the Role:
A prestigious international law firm is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. This role focuses on enhancing and supporting the firm's collaboration platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of collaboration tools, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform efficiency and user experience.

  • Manage complex technical tasks and provide expert guidance to junior team members.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business needs.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and contribute to disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven expertise in administering Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint Online and Teams) and Google Workspace.

  • Strong understanding of collaboration tools and document management systems.

  • Experience with ITIL Service Management principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with tools such as Kofax, PDFDocs, Adobe Creative Suite, and legal-specific applications like Litera Desktop.

  • Certifications such as M365 Administrator Expert or Professional Google Workspace Administrator.
