Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning, and onward referral.
Reducing dependency & recovery-related harm to service users and the wider community within the parameters of the National Probation Service referral.
Promoting carer, service user, and community involvement.
Onward referral for ongoing support from partnership services.
Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
Supporting recruitment and development of D & R Motivators.
About you:
At least 2 years of relevant experience working within criminal justice, substance misuse (including alcohol), or social care services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, including mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups, etc.
Extensive knowledge of issues facing offenders, including (but not limited to) substance misuse, health, and personal wellbeing.
Extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the contributing factors to success, including making long-term sustained changes in offending behavior and social functioning.
Experience delivering groups or pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behavior.
Experience working in an outcome-focused environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of personal IT competency.
Ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and work to deadlines for information submission.
Ability to travel as required, including in areas where public transport is unavailable.
Provide leadership in your area of responsibility.
Ability to manage change effectively, prioritizing the needs of service users.
Effective interpersonal skills to engage successfully with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively with others, both internally and externally.
