Overview

Senior Dependency and Recovery Coordinator - In Your Corner Project

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young men while contributing to a groundbreaking initiative? Do you see yourself as a role model with the ability to engage, inspire, and challenge harmful behaviours?

There is a recognised gap in the number of males aged 18-30 accessing treatment, with research suggesting that issues related to hyper-masculinity may be a contributing factor. As a result, we're offering a unique opportunity to become a Senior Dependency and Recovery Coordinator within the In Your Corner project, an innovative programme addressing the negative attributes of masculinity.

This role aims to develop and deliver interventions that tackle these behaviours while increasing the appeal of services to this underrepresented group.

Location:

Brighton & Crawley (Flexible travel required)

Full Time Hours:

37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary Range:

£32,002.35- £34,214.21 dependent on experience, pro rata for part time

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Senior Worker, you will:

  • Lead trauma-informed, strength-based interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Engage participants in community-based activities such as boxing, gym sessions, football, gardening, and art, to promote connection and recovery.
  • Work flexibly across a large geographical area, requiring adaptability and a creative approach to building trust and rapport.
  • Receive specialist training and use your expertise to train and support colleagues.
  • Promote and educate partners about the aims of the hyper-masculinity project and attend probation huddle meetings to raise awareness, promote engagement, and share progress of the project.

This role requires a skilled and experienced professional who can assess group and individual dynamics, responding in real time to ensure maximum impact and engagement.

Why Join the In Your Corner Project?

  • Make a Difference: Be part of a project that will shape the future of young men, empowering them to break cycles of harmful behaviours and access the support they need.
  • Innovate: Play a central role in developing a brand-new service model and contribute to best practice for working with this underserved demographic.
  • Lead and Inspire: Use your training and experience to guide others, building awareness and capacity for change across the organisation.
  • Growth Opportunity: Gain invaluable experience in a high-profile, challenging role that offers both professional and personal development.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who can serve as a supportive and relatable guide for others, bringing authenticity, empathy, and leadership to this critical work. You'll be confident in delivering tailored interventions, working independently, and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders. A personal vehicle for travel across the area is desirable or be able to demonstrate the ability to reliably travel between services.

This is your chance to join a transformative project that will directly impact the lives of young men and shape future approaches to tackling the negative traits within masculinity. Step into this rewarding role and be the change they need.

Please ensure your application reflects how your skills and experiences align with the role outlined in the job description.
