Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Functional Architect to lead end-to-end Workday solution design and deployment, ensuring alignment with client goals and long-term maintainability. This role bridges sales and delivery, advising during pursuits and guiding functional delivery during implementation.

You will drive architecture across HCM or Financial Management domains, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality outcomes while maintaining engagement momentum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of Workday, ERP, HCM, or Financial Management implementation experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday HCM or Workday Financial Management.
• Proven leadership of solution design on complex enterprise transformations.
• Experience supporting pre-sales activities including estimations and proposals.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and manage multiple projects.
• Eligible for UK SC Clearance and eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Partner with pursuit and sales teams to provide expert solution guidance.
• Own and develop solution approaches, estimates, and budget assumptions.
• Lead the transition from sales to delivery ensuring continuity of design.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with executives.
• Provide QA oversight and thought leadership on in-flight implementations.
• Mentor consultants and promote continuous improvement.
• Champion knowledge sharing across practices.
